Unconscious bias: subliminal career staller or much ado about nothing?

16 November 2011

The National Foundation for Australian Women is delighted to invite you to participate in a symposium on one of the hottest topics of the moment; the implications of unconscious bias. We have brought together a diverse range of authoritative speakers from the law, investment banking and the media, each of whom will share their particular take on unconscious bias and the implications (or not) they believe it has for gender equity within the public and private sector. We have encouraged our speakers to deal with the topic in whatever manner they see fit to ensure a very broad and open discussion of the issue, and will leave plenty of time for questions and comments from the audience. Book your place now to participate in a dynamic discussion moderated by Catherine Fox[assets/Events/Catherine-Foxshort-biography.pdf] (Australian Financial Review) and lead by Jane Hodder, Partner at Freehills and Co-Chair of the firm’s Diversity at Freehills Steering Committee, John PorterJohn Porter[assets/Events/John-Porter-Bioshort-biography.pdf], CEO of Austar and Craig Drummond, CEO of Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
